Madison is a clinical mental health counseling intern currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Northeastern Illinois University. Her clinical interests include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She is especially interested in supporting both men and women as they work through questions about who they are, how to manage their emotions, and how to cope with inner stress. Her approach is based on person-centered counseling, which focuses on building a strong and trusting relationship between client and counselor. She also values the connection between the mind and body and is interested in using these approaches to help clients better understand and work through their emotions.
Madison believes that everyone has the ability to grow and change. She works to create a supportive space where clients feel safe and encouraged to explore their emotions and better understand the patterns in their lives. She approaches counseling with warmth, empathy, and a gentle but direct style that encourages insight, personal agency, and sustainable coping. Her clinical style incorporates strength-based interventions while promoting self-awareness and emotional resilience.
Madison offers both in-person and telehealth sessions and is committed to building a culturally responsive, affirming space for clients from all walks of life. She plans to pursue trauma and crisis certification following graduation to further support individuals facing acute and chronic stressors.
Outside of the therapeutic setting, Madison enjoys fostering animals through a local shelter, thrifting, and spending time with friends.
