Graduate Intern Therapist
All PHC clinicians are highly trained and able to treat our clients that are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions and/or mood disorders. Please continue to explore our bios if you require a more specialized treatment plan.
Shannon specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety-related disorders—including panic disorder and agoraphobia—as well as depression, relationship concerns, and complex trauma. She is also especially attuned to high-achieving and deep-feeling individuals who grapple with chronic stress, perfectionism, and burnout. She honors how these patterns once helped clients to manage life’s demands, while supporting the shift toward a more sustainable way of being.
Clients value Shannon’s warm and curious approach to exploring how early experiences shape their core beliefs, coping strategies, and relationships. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and evidence-based approaches such as ERP, she supports clients in cultivating greater clarity, self-acceptance, and a life more fully aligned with their values.
Shannon trained in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University. She also holds a Master’s in Higher Education and brings over a decade of experience supporting college students through identity development, life transitions, and career exploration.
Outside the therapy room, Shannon is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She enjoys long walks, good coffee, reading, and caring for her two rabbits.
